Checking equipment in at another location

Manage Items and Kits that are checked out at one location but checked in at another

Equipment often moves between locations. For example: you check out 3 monitors from your warehouse, but decide you want to keep them at your headquarters.

Configuration

Allow check in at another location

  1. Go to your Settings
  2. Click Add-ons
  3. Scroll down to Check-outs, then click Settings
  4. Toggle Allow check-in at other location
  5. Click Save

 

During Check-outs

Checking in across locations

  1. Click Check-outs, then click an open Check-out
  2. Use the checkboxes to select any of the items in the Equipment list
  3. Use the Check-in dropdown button
  4. Click Check-in at… the location you wish to return the equipment to

Tip: If you want items to end up in a different sublocation than where they were before, check them in at the correct parent location first, then update each item’s sublocation.
