Cheqroom Use Case: Front Desk Agent Check Out

There are many ways to configure Cheqroom to meet your specific needs. Let's explore one common workflow. This is very common in a university setting where there is a need to empower students to make reservations, but the check out process needs more supervision.

The Use Case:  Students reserve items for a class assignment. Front Desk Agents (Student Workers) prepare the items and check them out for to the student.

The Workflow:

User Roles/Permissions for this Workflow:

1. The Front Desk Agent role is a pre-defined permission level in Cheqroom. Users with this role can create and fulfill bookings for anyone. The most important permissions for this role are the ability to manage users, manage any reservation and manage any check out

2. End Users can be assigned the Self-Service role, a pre-defined permission level in Cheqroom. This allows students to reserve equipment in advance without granting checkout authority. Under this role, users are restricted to managing only their own reservations.
