How to: Configure and Use Categories

Adding an Item Category

  • Navigate to Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen and click Categories.

 

  • In the top right corner, select Add New Category.

  • Add the Category name (and if you like, you can add it as a Subcategory) and then click Add category

 

  • Click on the three dot menu and from here you can Edit, Add subcategory or Delete your newly created category. 


Using Categories

Changing the Category Of A Single Item

  • Select Items, then click a specific Item.

  •  Click the pencil to start editing the Category. You can choose a category you created from the dropdown menu. To finish, click Update.

  • Note that once you select a new category for that item, it will be moved to the newly selected Category.

Moving Multiple Items To Another Category

  • From the left hand menu, click Items, and then make sure you're in Table View.

 

  • Use the checkboxes to indicate the items you'd like to move, then click Bulk actions>Edit Items. 


  • Choose the Category where you want to move the item.

 

  • Scroll down and click Update. 


 

Finding Equipment By Category

  • From the left hand menu, click Items, and then click Filters to open the filters section. 

 

  • Select a Category to filter the results.


 

Add Equipment Per Category to Dashboard

  • From the left hand menu, click Dashboards. Scroll down to Items by Category and click on one to filter to those spefic items.
