Feature Release: Bulk Items in Kits and Locked Kits
We're excited to announce two new features that enhance how you manage and organize your kits in Cheqroom. These features are now available to all customers with kits included in their subscription
Bulk Items in Kits
You can now add bulk items directly to your kits, making it easier to include consumables, accessories, and other non-serialized inventory in your kit configurations. This feature streamlines kit management by allowing you to specify quantities of bulk items that should be included with each kit, ensuring your teams always have the complete set of equipment and supplies they need.
Key benefits:
- Include consumables and accessories as part of your standard kit configurations
- Ensure complete kit fulfillment with both tracked items and bulk supplies
Quick start guide:
- Begin adding bulk items to kits from the item or kit detail screen.
- From item detail select Action → Add to kit
- From kit detail select Add Item
Locked Kits
Locked Kits give you greater control over kit integrity by preventing users from partially using the contents of specific kits. When a kit is locked, users must book the entire kit in a reservation or check-out. This ensures that critical kits maintain their intended composition and helps you enforce standardization across your inventory.
Key benefits:
- Maintain kit standardization
- Protect critical kit configurations from accidental changes
- Ensure compliance with specific equipment requirements
Quick start guide:
- In Settings → Add-ons → Kits, enabled “Locked Kits” toggle
- Open a kit detail page
- Enable the "Lock Kit" option in the Info tab
- Once locked, the kit can still be checked in and out normally, but users must book the entire kit during a reservation or check out
- Kits can be unlocked or edited from Kit Detail page. If items are added or removed from a locked kit, you will be prompted to update any future reservations so the kit stays complete
Both features are now live in your Cheqroom account. For detailed instructions on how to use these new capabilities, please visit our Help Center or contact our support team.
