How do I manage low value assets?

Bulk Items

A bulk item in Cheqroom is an asset type tracked by total quantity rather than as individual units. Instead of managing each item separately, you set a total count and Cheqroom tracks how many are available at any given time. Examples of bulk items include:

• Office supplies (pens, notebooks, paper)
• Cables and adapters
• Consumables and disposable items

When managing bulk items, you can:

• Set and update quantities as stock is added or consumed
• Monitor current stock levels at a glance
• Receive low-stock alerts when quantities fall below a defined threshold
• Check out bulk items as part of a reservation or kit

This approach saves time compared to tracking every individual item, while still giving you full visibility and control over your inventory.

To add a bulk item, go to your inventory, select Add Item, and choose Bulk Item as the item type. Enter a name, category, and starting quantity to get started.
