Maintenance Management Template - Overview

Track repairs, servicing, and replacement work for your equipment in one place, with the full history attached to the asset itself.

What it's for

The Maintenance Management template is built for tracking repair and replacement work on your gear - the kind of thing that used to live in a spreadsheet or someone's inbox. Use it to log what's wrong, assign who's fixing it, and keep a record tied to the item.

System Defaults

  • Defaults: Location, Description
  • Can reference: Items, Kits
  • Priority levels: High, Medium, Low (Low is the default)

All fields should be treated as just a starting point. Add, remove, or modify these options to meet your maintenance and workflow requirements.

Customizing it

Everything here is a starting point. You can add custom fields, change which fields are required, adjust priority labels, or restrict who can view and submit these requests - all from Settings once you've opted in to the trial.

Getting started

Once your workspace has opted in to the Work Order trial, this template appears automatically in your account. See How to Submit a Maintenance Request for step-by-step instructions, or Managing Operations Request Status and Workflow for how requests move from Draft to Closed.
