Operator Seats FAQ
Common questions about who counts as an "operator" during and after your Work Order trial.
What is an operator?
An operator isn't a user role - it's a seat type based on what someone does, not their title. Anyone assigned a Work Order - whether they're an Admin, a Front Desk Admin, or any other role - is considered an operator for that Work Order.
If I assign a user to a Work Order during the trial and they become an operator, does that cost anything?
No. The trial is free for the full 60-day window, regardless of how many people you assign Work Orders to. Assigning someone as an operator during the trial doesn't create any charge. Before adding Work Orders to your subscription, our account management team can review the number of operator seats used with you to find the best fit.
Will assigning someone to Work Orders affect billing after the trial?
After the trial period, billing is based on the number of operator seats used. Talk to your account manager for current operator seat pricing before you upgrade.
Where can I see who's an operator in my workspace?
Yes. Operator status shows up in the Users tab, alongside each person's role.
