Releasing custody of an item at a different location

Item Custody works like an infinite Check-out. It lets you register the equipment you have loaned, to whom you loaned it, without having to select a return date or location. It’s ideal for when you’re lending out equipment for a really short or really long duration.

If you'd like to allow you and other users to release custody of items at a different location than the original one, you can follow these steps.

Note: Custody is a feature available to all plans, but the Essentials Plan can only have one location, so releasing custody at a different location is not an option.

• Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen

• Click Add-ons

• Scroll down to Custody

• Make sure it's activated

Customize Custody settings

• Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen

• Click Add-ons

• Scroll down to Custody

• Click Settings

• Allow to release items at other locations by turning it on

• Remember to click Save

Releasing item at new location

• Go to the item you want to release custody of

• Click 'Release custody' in the top right corner:

• And choose the new location of the item:
