Troubleshooting a Missing Field
What to do if you no longer see a field you expect to see
Quick checks
- Try the same page in a different role or ask an admin to verify your role
- Confirm whether the field is Required. Required fields are always visible
- Check if the field appears for an admin with settings access to rule out data issues
What to tell your admin
Share these details to speed up resolution:
- URL of the page where the field is missing
- Field name you expected to see
- Your current role
- Whether it’s missing on details, overviews, exports, or import templates
Expected behavior by design
- Hidden fields will not appear on detail or overview pages for restricted roles
- Hidden fields are excluded from exports run by restricted roles
Still need help?
- Ask your admin to review Settings → Fields → select the field → “Hide field for”
- If visibility is correct but behavior seems off, provide screenshots to your admin or reach out to success@cheqroom.com
